After the village we were all tired, but we did not want to waste the time we had in Guilin. We walked around the lakes and saw the colored lights on rocks and trees reflecting on the water. At one point we arrived to the Two Pagodas that are in one of the lakes.
The two pagodas are called the sun and moon pagodas because one is built and painted with silver and the other with gold. They are actually connected by an underwater bridge in the lake that is open to the public during the day. Unfortunately, it was night time so we just got some pretty pictures.
After seeing the lakes and the pagodas, about five of us went to have ice cream at a little bar right next to our hotel. Inside the bar we discovered that they had Karaoke. I watched as a group of Chinese guys perform to the music and after a little bit our server asked if we wanted to sing. She indicated that they did have some English songs. We were all pretty excited to sing so we went to see what songs they had. I chose My Heart Will Go On from the Titanic, and there was also a backstreet boys song, the yellow submarine, my girl, and YMCA. Titanic was awesome and really fun. I rocked it! But the other songs were almost unrecognizable because they had all been remixed. We had fun anyways, belting out the chorus lines, which were pretty much the same.
It was a great night to just let loose and have some fun. The screen that had the lyrics also had some of the funniest music videos to these songs I have ever seen. I had fun and was close enough to the Hotel that got a good night sleep too.
